Wildlife Calendar

You might want to start organising your charity calendar early and start taking images throughout the year. Take photographs of your nature reserve during the year.

Take images and include images taken through the different seasons, you can take images showing your nature reserve throughout the years, during winter, spring, summer and autumn. Winter is a great time to get out and about with your camera and take images in the snow; early morning frosts are an excellent opportunity to take images for your calendar; however, it may mean an early start. Autumn is a great time to take images of the changing colours of trees. Take images of trees, as the leaves turn from a lush green to golden yellows and reds. Foggy mornings can present a great photographic opportunity. Take images through the fog creating truly great atmospheric images. If you work at a Bird Nature Reserve you could take images of the various birds that visit your nature reserve during the year.

Get Your Nature Reserve Members Involved

Ask your members to help you out by taking and submitting images for inclusion in your calendar. You can credit them on your calendar. A calendar allows you to involve your nature reserve members in the publication of your calendar. Organise a competition and ask members to submit images. You could organise a special event where your members can all come together and choose the images that are going to appear in your calendar. You will probably find that some of your members are keen amateur photographers and will be able to supply some cracking images for your calendar.

Nature Reserve Events

If you organise special events during the year take images during the event and include them in your calendar. A calendar is a great way to promote your Nature Reserve and to encourage visitor numbers.

Nature Reserve Calendar Design

When it comes to your calendar design we find an extremely popular calendar design is our design H-A3. It is a very clean calendar design in A3 size (297x420mm). The calendar is A4 size when closed and opens out to a large A3 calendar; you have plenty of space at the bottom for dates, the dates are in a box format. The top half allows a generous area for your images.
